Adadja Communities Conclude Seven-Day Prayer Tour with Grand Thanksgiving at Emadadja

October 11, 2026

The Adadja Communities in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State have successfully concluded a historic seven-day prayer programme, which ended on Sunday 11 October 2026 with a grand thanksgiving service at Emadadja Town Hall.

The week-long spiritual exercise, initiated by the Adadja Christian Body and the Adadja Communities Presidents, led by Comr. Felix Ekwevukugbe Ighogboja, President General of Emadadja Community, was organised to seek divine intervention for sustained peace, unity, security, love and accelerated development of all Adadja Communities.

In a rare show of unity, the prayer team moved from one Adadja community to another, interceding for the land and its people. Except on the final day, the programme was held daily from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a large turnout of elders, women leaders, youths, pastors and community stakeholders.

The schedule was as follows:

  • Day 1: Monday 5 October 2026, Emadadja Town Hall (Opening and Dedication)
  • Day 2: Tuesday 6 October 2026, Ekrota Town Hall
  • Day 3: Wednesday 7 October 2026, Obubu Town Hall
  • Day 4: Thursday 8 October 2026, Ubogo Town Hall
  • Day 5: Friday 9 October 2026, Ugbisi Town Hall
  • Day 6: Saturday 10 October 2026, Ukperheren Town Hall
  • Day 7: Sunday 11 October 2026, Emadadja Town Hall (Grand Thanksgiving and Closing, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm)

At each town hall, prayers were offered for the peace of Adadja land, the protection of our children at home and in the diaspora, the success of our farmers and traders, wisdom for traditional and community leaders, and the peace and progress of the Delta State Government and Udu Kingdom.

Speaking at the grand thanksgiving finale, the President General of Emadadja/Adadja Communities, Comr. Felix Ekwevukugbe Ighogboja, on behalf of all Adadja Community Presidents, expressed deep gratitude to God Almighty for journey mercies and for answering prayers throughout the tour.

“This programme was born out of the burden placed in our hearts by the Adadja Christian Body to put God first. No community can succeed without God. That is why we decided to go round all Adadja Communities to commit our land into God’s hands. For seven days, God has shown us mercy. We have prayed for peace where there was tension, for unity where there was division, and for progress where there was stagnation. Today, I declare that Adadja land is blessed. Our youths shall prosper, our women shall rejoice, our elders shall see good days, and development shall not elude us. We will continue to build an Adadja where everybody is carried along and God remains our foundation.”

He concluded by specially appreciating the Adadja Christian Body, all Community Presidents, elders, women and youths who made themselves available in each of the communities throughout the programme.

The thanksgiving service ended with high praises, powerful testimonies, dance and a closing benediction for the entire Adadja nation.

Signed:
Comr. Felix Ekwevukugbe Ighogboja
