His Royal Majesty, Okporua I, Ovie of Udu Kingdom, Joins God’s Kingdom Mission to Celebrate Christ’s Birth Anniversary as Freedom Day 2026

October 26, 2026

His Royal Majesty, Okporua I, Ovie of Udu Kingdom, has joined God’s Kingdom Mission in marking the anniversary of Christ’s birth as Freedom Day 2026, lending the weight of the Udu throne to a celebration centred on faith, hope and deliverance.

The Ovie’s participation reflects the place of faith in the life of the Kingdom and the importance he attaches to the spiritual wellbeing of his people.

A Celebration of Freedom

God’s Kingdom Mission has chosen to frame the birth of Christ as a Freedom Day: a moment to reflect on the liberty that, in the Christian faith, His coming brought to humanity. The 2026 celebration invites people to reflect on freedom from fear, division and hardship, and on the responsibility that comes with that freedom.

For Udu Kingdom, a community with deep traditions and a strong sense of identity, the message of peace and renewal speaks directly to the work of building a united and prosperous people.

The Ovie’s Presence

His Royal Majesty’s presence at the celebration signalled the Kingdom’s goodwill towards the Mission and its work.

Those in attendance [describe the gathering: clergy, chiefs, members of the Mission, community leaders] joined in worship, prayer and thanksgiving for the Kingdom, its leadership and its people.

A Message for the Season

At a time when many families look to the festive season for rest and reflection, the celebration offers a reminder that freedom is something to be lived out daily: through compassion, service and unity. By standing with the Mission, His Royal Majesty affirmed the value of partnerships that strengthen the moral and spiritual life of the community.

Looking Ahead

As the season approaches, the Palace and the people of Udu Kingdom look forward to a year of peace, progress and shared purpose.
